Katie is a character in the comic Final Destination: Spring Break. She is the girlfriend of Kris and a survivor of the Hotel Grand Tzolk explosion. Katie, along with her boyfriend and her friends Amanda, Matt, Jake, Bryan, and Carly Hagan all plan on going to Cancún for a vacation from college. On the plane ride into the city Carly has a premonition of the hotel they're staying at exploding and killing everyone inside. However, after waking up from the dream, Jake manages to calm her down a bit and they go into the city to party on the beach and in the streets. Later that night at the hotel, Carly recognizes the events that took place in her dream are becoming real, meaning the explosion will happen as well. She creates a fit and drags all of her friends outside, just in time for the hotel to blow up.
The next day, they go parasailing on the beach, where Carly suspects something is wrong. She screams for Matt to stop the boat, but the throttle suddenly sticks, and Jake is left hanging in mid-air. As he shouts for Kris to shut off the engine, the propeller hits and rock, flips over, and abruptly shreds through Kris's abdomen from behind.
Katie was the second survivor of the Hotel Gran Tzolk explosion to die.
Death
In medical for having shock, hypertension, and lack of oxygen to the brain due to trauma, Katie sits on the medical bed with a thermometer in her mouth. She suddenly drops it and picks it back up, quickly putting it back in her mouth. However, she suddenly takes it out after she noticed the glass cracked and the mercury dripped onto her lip and into her mouth. After reading that mercury is fatal, she runs to the sink and rinses her mouth out. Running to call for help, she knocks over a set of medical instruments and steps on a scalpel, cutting her foot and causing her to fall. She falls right onto a medical display skeleton and, ironically, dies when she fractures her skull on the skeleton's skull and is pierced in the ribs by the skeleton's ribs.

- During the bus ride to the hotel, a partier in a skeleton costume presses up against Carly's window.
- A bottle of fluids has an image of a skull and crossbones on it.
- On his way out of the hospital, Detective Garcia-Garcia notices the doors blow open, despite the lack of wind.
- While waiting in the hospital lobby, Carly breaks her pen, causing blood red ink to spill everywhere.
- Ironically, it is a skeleton that kills Katie.
