TodClue FD1

A clue indicating Tod Waggner's imminent death.

How do we know that just by sitting here-by, by sipping this coffee, or breathing the air, or even crossing the intersection that we haven't even started, in motion, the events that will some day lead to our deaths: forty years from now, ten years from now, tomorrow. We don't. Unless we open ourselves up to the signs that it's willing to show us.

Alex Browning.

Shortly before Death preys on a victim, certain "clues" or "signs" as to how, where and when they will die can appear. These clues could range from small, hardly noticable items to instances of unusual natural phenomena. Though most are oblivious, a few (particularly visionaries) are have noticed these occurrences and have attempted to alter Death's design. Below is a list of clues for every character's death in the order in which they were made throughout the entire film series.

List of Clues

Final Destination

Final Destination (2000)

Tod Waggner

  • Tod performs a gesture saying he'd strangle himself if Alex changed his seat with Blake and Christa.
  • While Tod is in the bathroom, a gust of wind breezes through the window and brushes past him.
  • When Tod plugs in his radio, the song that plays is "Rocky Mountain High" by John Denver, who died in a plane crash. This song is this movie's theme and signals other deaths as well.
  • Tod sees a shadow (Death) in his bathroom.
  • Right before his death, Alex picks up a shred of a magazine that reads Tod. (Pictured above)
  • Coincidentally, the word 'Tod' means 'Death' in German.
  • In Alex's premonition, Tod is knocked out by a radio. Before he died, Tod uses a radio similar to the one in Alex's vision.

    Tod waggner

  • During his strangulation, Tod looks out into the bathroom and notices the dolls on the shelf seem to be smiling, as though they're pleased at the fact he's dying.
  • A skeleton figurine hanging in a noose is among the toys scattered around Alex's room.

Terry Chaney

  • Alex sees the reflection of the bus on the window of a coffee shop, yet when he looks to the street, there is no bus.
  • Alex asks Clear, "How do we know that, by sipping this coffee, or breathing the air, or even crossing the intersection... we haven't started in motion the events that will someday lead to our deaths." Ironically as soon as Terry steps out onto the intersection, she is hit by the bus.
  • The song "Into the Void" is playing on Carter's car radio right before her death. The song contains the lyrics "final destination".
    000FDT Amanda Detmer 007

    Terry Chaney

  • At the beginning of the movie before and after the plane crash, a picture of a bus is behind her.
  • Just seconds before she dies, she said, "You can just drop fucking dead!"
  • The colored line scheme on the side of the bus is very similar to the color scheme of Volée Air Flight 180-'s fuselage.
  • Outside the airport, there are several buses.

Ms. Valerie Lewton

  • A shadow (Death) appears in Valerie's kettle before the explosion occurs.
  • Valerie's house door has a dagger design on its window, which she backs into.
  • The door also has strong reds and oranges on it, possibly echoing the house fire.
  • Once Alex figures out Death's design, he realizes Ms. Lewton is third to die.
  • "Rocky Mountain High" plays on Val's record player.
    2859296911a2955746320b940900258l

    Ms Valerie Lewton

  • Alex sees ashes floating around his head, foreshadowing the fire.
  • Val also has the longest death scene in the entire movie.
  • The woman in Alex's TV before he went to Valerie's house said "That's a huge knife set"
  • When Terry was run over by a bus, the camera pans last to Valerie when Alex, Carter, and her were shocked.
  • She frantically throws her mug into the air when she notices her school logo and says to herself "Pretty soon you'll be gone, you'll be gone."
  • Her mug cracked, and started dripping, similar to what happened to her neck.
  • In the opening sequence, there is a picture of a knife in someone's chest.

Billy Hitchcock

Billy Hitchcock

  • During the opening credits, in a book of French history, there is a picture of a guillotine.
  • After taking a driver's test and barely passing, the instructor says, "Young man, you're gonna die at a very young age." But this means his death will be car-related.
  • Billy almost had his head crushed after he fell of his bicycle (due to Carter's reckless driving), and another car nearly ran him over.
  • When Carter is driving to "take control," the reflection of the train Alex sees out his window has the number 747, which is the type of plane that 180 was.
  • Billy died out of order; he was supposed to die after Carter, but Alex intervened. Death wasted no time sparing Billy.
  • While Billy, Carter, and Clear are driving to Alex's home, Carter sarcastically threatens to "kill Billy" after he constantly expressed fear of his imminent death, foreshadowing that Carter's subsequent actions indirectly cause Billy's death.
  • While he is looking up at the plane taking off, the reflection of the plane is shown across his face. It is flying in a line right where the piece of the car shrapnel decapitates him later on.
Rgrere

Carter Horton

Carter Horton

  • Carter almost died when a train ran his car over, but Alex saved him at the last second.
  • The sign that hits Carter reads 180 backwards.
  • A man is singing 'Rocky Mountain High' in French.
  • Before the accident that causes his death, Alex sees a butchered piece of meat.
  • Terry, Carter's girlfriend, died when she was crushed by a bus; Carter died when he was crushed by a sign. Their deaths mirror each other because they were sitting next to each other on the plane.
  • Alex is nearly ran over by a bus, the same way that Terry died.
Ttr

Alex Browning

Alex Browning

  • After Terry's death, blood sprays on Alex's face. One of the blood stains looks like a 7. Alex is seventh on Death's List.
  • Signs at the end of the movie
    • A man is singing "Rocky Mountain High" in French.
    • Wine spills over Alex's drawing of the Flight 180 seats. The stain looks like blood and it's over Alex's seat.
  • Alex almost died seven times in the movie. He was almost run over by a train, nearly electrocuted saving Clear, nearly killed in an explosion, nearly impaled in the face by blunt branches, almost drowns when a tree falls on him, almost run over by a bus, and was almost crushed by a sign. Seven is the same number in the order he was supposed to die.
  • During Final Destination 2, Clear mentions she and Alex cheated death dozens of times after the events of the first film, so it means that Death kept switching between the two until it finally got Alex, as he quoted "You can't evade Death forever."
  • Alex died 3 months after Carter's Death. A brick impaled him in the eye.
  • Alex died on the same day as his birthday September 25th.
  • At the bottom of Alex's house, the walls had many bricks.

Final Destination 2 (2003)

Evan Lewis

  • Before the pile-up, Evan's car has a flaming phoenix on it's front, foreshadowing the fire in his apartment.
  • Evan throws the noodles on his pan out the window. After escaping his apartment, he slips on them.
  • The letters on Evan's refrigerator say HEY E, as if Death is calling out to Evan. The H falls, spelling EYE.
  • While Evan is carrying his purchased items to his apartment, he accidentally steps on a doll's face. The doll had one eye.
  • Evan shouts out "JESUS!" several times during the fire and just before he dies.
    Trhgh

    Evan Lewis

  • On the day he died, his shirt read "Bill Wall Leather." This was found on the car that started the series of events in the premonition.
  • While fixing something to eat, a chilly wind brushes past his hair.
  • One of the items carried into his room is an apple "iMac." (The letter "i" is pronounced the same as "eye.")
  • In the opening credits, an exacto knife was pointing through Kimberly's eye, implicating Evan's eye.

Tim Carpenter

Tim Carpenter

  • In the dentist's office, the fish tank has a skull inside, and there's also a fish that's trapped from a clear pipe sucking it. The trapped fish somewhat resembles the toy blow fish later.
  • Tim almost died when the electricity in the dentist's office malfunctioned, ending his oxygen supply, and a toy blow fish fell into his mouth, leading him to nearly choke to death on laughing gas.
  • Kimberly sees pigeons flying towards her before heading to the dentist's office, even though not a pigeon was in sight. Also, she saw it through a reflection in a glass window.
  • Tim's dentist asks him, "Your mom says you've been having some pain (pane) lately?"
  • The pane that crushes Tim is visible from the dentist's office.
  • A pigeon banged on the window of the dentist's office.
  • Tim is standing in the intersection of tiles, making it look like an "X" and implicating that he is the target.
  • A sign reading CAUTION is seen before his death.

Nora Carpenter

Nora Carpenter

  • Nora almost died when she was nearly electrocuted in a puddle at the dentist's office.
  • Rory's shoe gets stuck in the elevator when he gets in, and the man already in the elevator tells Rory that he's asked for the bumpers to be fixed.
  • Rory sees a shadow of a man carrying hooks.
  • Nora told Kim that, after her husband and son died, she was okay with accepting death.
  • Nora told Kim she had a funeral to plan.
  • The elevator that got Rory's shoe stuck in between the doors was the same elevator that got Nora's head stuck.
  • Nora was supposed to be the fifth (or sixth; it depends if it was her son first) to die, but Death decided to go backwards (in order to tie up the loose ends from the first movie) and made her third.
  • Clear and Kat were propping Nora up, trying to push her towards the elevator going up, as Eugene and the man are also pulling her head up.
003FD2 Keegan Connor Tracy 010

Kat Jennings

Kat Jennings

  • The tire blows up, making the car veer towards the white delivery van of Isabella. The crash appears way too accurate for Kat to do on her own, so Death might also be controlling the car.
  • The location of Kat's car wreck is at the 180 Mile Marker.
  • Before the incident, another pipe was shown, and gas was running through it. The gas looked a lot like blood.
  • At the end of the car crash, the pipe appears to hit Kat's head as if it would knock her out.
  • When Kat sits back up after crashing, she jumped with a scream when she noticed the pipe next to her head.
  • After pulling Brian out of the way of an oncoming news van, Rory tells him to "use your head."
003FD2 Jonathan Cherry 005

Rory Peters

Rory Peters

  • At the intro, a clothing near Kimberly's bed has a line pattern that resembles barbed wire.
  • Before Nora Carpenter's death, Rory saw a shadow of a man carrying hooks, but the shadow was between the coat hangers' shadows, making it look like it was cut in pieces.
  • When the news van pulls in, car fluid starts leaking out and into a pipe.
  • When Kat is killed, her cigarette drops onto the ground, and a strong gust of wind blows it into the pipe with car fluid, indicating Death's presence.
  • When the group looks for Isabella Hudson, the landscape around the road has plenty of fences visible.
  • Rory mentions that he would stop doing drugs if he was to be killed, and the reason why he was cut to pieces was because he stopped to use drugs. Kat's cigarette also played a role in his death.

Clear Rivers

  • Clear's seat in Flight 180 is 23, referencing the Route 23 Pileup.
  • In the opening credits of Final Destination 2, there's a mask with black ink on its face. It's like it was burned, implicating Clear Rivers' death in which it shows how her skin was burnt.
  • Kimberly told Clear, "In my opinion, you're already dead."
  • A lot of Death's attempts to kill Clear had something to do with explosions:
    • The mortician tells Clear that she has such a fire in her now.
    • When Alex is using a cigarette lighter, there's a spark. The spark looks like lightning.
    • In the second movie, Clear hits a teen for smoking at a gas station.
    • Clear saw someone drop a tank of propane.
    • After Flight 180 blows up, behind Clear was an orange and red picture which might have echoed the explosion.
      148816 101500259921554 1030676 n

      Clear Rivers

    • Clear was originally supposed to die from an explosion while on board Flight 180, and from an explosion in her car, if it weren't for the intervention of Alex.
    • She is also nearly killed while in Burke's apartment when a canoeing boat falls and nearly impales her.
  • During Kimberly's premonition at the hospital, she sees a brief glimpse of Dr. Kalarjian pushing a crash cart through a glowing orange hallway. Unfortunately, she does not pick up on this quickly enough to warn Clear.
  • Just before Clear starts walking toward Eugene's hospital room, a sign on the wall behind her reads "FIRE EXTINGUISHER". Her head is blocking the word "extinguisher", so the word "FIRE" appears directly above her head.
  • She's one of the many people who appear in the opening credits of The Final Destination.
  • In the alternate ending of Final Destination, Alex saves Clear from the wire that was meant to explode the car she was in, and instead from being electrocuted and passed out, he was caught on fire, and died. Since he was killed despite the design he was supposed to die in, they defeated death, leaving Carter and her to live the rest of their lives. A while later, she was revealed pregnant, and successfully delivered her child. The newborn boy had a small collar, written "Alex Browning" meaning Alex is the supposed father of the child. She then brings her baby to the memorial in which she meets Carter, and both of them payed their recognitions to Alex.
  • In some version of the film, the coloration of her death scene is warm (red, orange, and yellow).
  • Clear's full name appears in The Final Destination in a sign that reads "Clear Rivers Water's".

Eugene Dix

Eugene Dix

  • Eugene tried to kill himself with Officer Burke' handgun, but all six bullets were duds. Clear confirmed that it wasn't his time to die.
  • Eugene had a key chain of a pool ball with the unlucky number 13 on it.
  • Eugine hears about Rory and Kat's death and whimpers, knowing he's next.
  • The vents close.
  • The cords twist, pulling the plug away from the outlet.
  • Eugine tries to click the red call button for help, but it sparks and falls onto the floor where he can't reach it.
  • During Kimberly's premonition at the hospital, she sees a brief glimpse of Dr. Kalarjian pushing a crash cart through a glowing orange hallway.
  • It's physically impossible for oxygen to ignite, yet Death somehow manages to create a bomb out of nothing but hot air.

Brian Gibbons

Brian Gibbons

  • Kat nearly runs him over with her SUV when they crash through the stack of hay onto the field.
  • Brian almost died when he was nearly run over by a news van, but Rory tackled him out of the way. Since Rory (someone who wasn't supposed to be there) prevented his death, he was immediately added to Death's list after his death was skipped.
  • Brian tells his father to tell Kimerly and Thomas about how their friend (Rory) saved him the day of Kat's accident. As the father explains, you can see it on Kimerly and Thomas' faces that they know that means he's on Death's list. Just as Flight 180's survivors influenced the Route 23 pileup survivors, Rory had saved Brian, so Brian became a loose end, just as all of the Route 23 pileup survivors were.
  • In some versions of the film, the coloration of this scene is warm (red, orange, and yellow).

Thomas Burke

  • Thomas may have been meant to die with Clear and Eugene in the explosion at the hospital.
    • When Thomas and Clear ask Kimberly to recall her premonition of the white van, Kimberly sees a brief glimpse of Dr. Kalarjian pushing a crash cart with an ECG machine through a glowing orange hallway (the same hallway where they are standing), which wasn't part of her earlier premonitions. She does not pick up on this at first, but Thomas asks her, "You saw an ECG Machine and what else? What else did you see?" Kimberly begins to realize that something is wrong and stops Thomas from going closer to Eugene's room. Unfortunately, she does does not fully deduce what will happen in time to warn Clear. It turns out that Kimberly stopped Thomas just short of the fireball's reach.
    • Kimberly pulls Thomas to the ground as a flaming metal shelf flies toward them. If she had not intervened, Thomas would have been hit by the shelf.
  • At the top of the page of the newspaper, there is a heading that says "COST OF COMMUTING | B2-3" which could possibly be referencing the Route 23 pile-up.
    • The car started the chain reaction used to be owned by Evan Lewis.
    • The woodchipper that sucked Thomas and Kimberly in is owned by Brian Gibbons' father.
    • Thomas and Kimberly's death certificates were signed by Doctor Ellen Kalarjian.
      Thomas-burke-profile

      Thomas Burke

    • The funeral services for both were held at Mr. Bludworth's Funeral Home.
    • Burke's police call sign is Unit 13.
    • Ironically, the machine that kills him is a machine that deals with logs and wood.
    • In the original script of Final Destination 3, Kimberly and Officer Burke were going to be on Train 081 and die along with Wendy Christensen, Kevin Fischer, and Julie Christensen.

Kimberly Corman

  • Kimberly avoided death twice. She was almost run over by the Truck from Hell along with her friends, but Burke intervened. She also drove a van into a lake and drowned herself, but she was revived.
  • The person in her premonition about the white van driving into a lake has long, brown hair. She's the only person left with such hair.
    • At the top of the page of the newspaper, there is a heading that says "COST OF COMMUTING | B2-3" which could possibly be referencing the Route 23 pile-up.

Final Destination 3

Final Destination 3 (2006)

The Rollercoaster "D*vil's Flight"

  • Wendy takes a picture of Jason (Wendy's boyfriend), Kevin, and Carrie (Wendy's friend/Kevin's girlfriend) on one of the rides, High Dive. However, in the picture, the V's lights go out, resulting in "High Die."
  • Jason says that "the real fear with these rides comes from the feeling of having no control," foreshadowing that Wendy has no control over Jason's death - and can't prevent any of the other deaths.
  • The D*vil on the D*vil's Flight (Death) says "This is the beginning of the end" and "You may never return from the D*vil's Flight."
  • A sign says "No exit after turnstiles. I'll see you soon" next to a picture of the D*vil.
  • The worker pushes Lewis' brace down, and the hydraulics rupture, making a liquid leak out. The liquid looks like blood.
  • When the worker points to the sign that cameras/loose objects aren't allowed, Kevin puts Wendy's camera in his pocket. Frankie hides his camera in his jacket so that the worker doesn't know about his. Frankie drops his camera later, and it wraps around the tracks, leading to the rollercoaster's derailment.
  • Lewis' death sets up Wendy and Kevin's death.
  • Jason's photo is him mimicing the D*vil's pose, and behind him, the rollercoaster is where the major incident occurred and shining to draw Wendy's attention to it.

Ashlyn Halperin and Ashley Freund

  • In the opening sequence, there are two women, known as "The Electric Sisters", who were electrocuted in their electric chairs, their skins, were overexposed.
  • After Ashley wins at the water gun booth, her prize is an inflatable palm tree, which represents the potted palm which knocked over the loose shelf that traps Ashley & Ashlyn in the tanning beds.
  • Wendy's photo of Ashley and Ashlyn is a photo of them holding that inflatable palm tree, and the photo is overexposed, making it look like they're on fire.
    Rtrtyty

    Ashlyn Halperin

  • Before they go into the tanning room, the camera shows a canister that says "CONTENTS: ALCOHOL - DANGER - EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE," showing that what Kevin said was right. It refers to Ms. Valerie Lewton's vodka in the first movie. This shows Ashley's smoothie can cause a lot of trouble.
  • The tanning salon worker - Yuri - warns them "No drinks in the room this time."
  • Yuri places a tube under the door to keep it open so that he isn't locked out, but it pops open and starts spilling its contents, indicating that he will not be able to open the door to save Ashley and Ashlyn.
  • On one of the tanning beds, there is a sign that says, "These beds have been cleaned and are ready for tanning. Are YOU?"
  • Before getting into the tanning bed, Ashlyn turns up the heating in the room, stating that "A few degrees won't hurt." which in fact was the cause of their deaths.
  • While looking at the CDs, the shelf loosens.
  • Ashley and Ashlyn listen to "Love Rollercoaster" before the beds burn.
  • The condensation from their slushie pools and drips onto the cooling device.
  • It is ironic due to the fact that the word "ash" is in their names.
  • When Wendy is in her room, her lamp's light bursts.
    Rtrtytyrgffdfd

    Ashley Freund

  • In a less painful and time consuming death, Ashley and Ashlyn are electrocuted in a deleted scene.
    • Ashlyn: Ashlyn decides that the bed is too hot and gets out, only to get whacked in the head by the wood and knocked out. As Ashley burns, Ashlyn lays on the floor next to the bed, unconscious. After gaining consciousness, Ashlyn stands up and removes the wood and opens the bed. She reaches for Ashley's hand, but when she grabs her hand, the bed breaks, sending Ashley into the wiring below and, instead of a fire igniting, Ashley is electrocuted by the current. Because she is still holding Ashley, Ashlyn gets shocked as well and dies.
    • Ashley: Ashley lies in her bed screaming as the temperature rises, but Ashlyn manages to get out, only to get whacked in the head by the wood. Ashley struggles to get free, but can't until Ashlyn wakes back up. When Ashlyn grabs Ashley's hand, the bed breaks and instead of a fire igniting, Ashley is electrocuted by the current.
  • During Ashley and Ashlyn's funeral, the song "Hundred Grand" by Pete Atherton plays, which is the same song that played at the unveiling of the Flight 180 memorial in Final Destination.

Frankie Cheeks

  • In the opening credits, a Ferris Wheel is shown having a lighting effect in the shape of a fan.
  • In the opening scene, there's a picture of a circus freak biting down on a saw.
  • Frankie's photo: Kevin takes a picture under Stacy's skirt with Frankie in the background, showing a fan behind Frankie's head foreshadowing his death. Kevin taking a picture under Stacy's skirt is a form of sexual harassment similar to Frankie recording Ashley and Ashlyn.
  • Kevin's truck radio switches to play the warning song of this movie - "Turn Around, Look At Me" - before the accident, prompting Wendy and Kevin to look behind them, where a runaway truck is coming down a hill towards them.
  • In an alternate ending, Frankie actually survives when he's saved by Kevin. However, he's later thrown in jail for sexual harassment.
  • The word CONTROL on the message board at the restaurant disappears, indicating Wendy has no control over Frankie's death, just as she did not have control on the rollercoaster.
    Dfsdsf

    Frankie Cheeks

  • Frankie shares the same name as a character in Final Destination 2, Frankie. Ironically, that Frankie's death is also caused by a truck.
  • Before Frankie's death, Kevin mentioned SpongeBob SquarePants. "Cheeks" is the last name of a character in SpongeBob SquarePants.
  • At the drive-thru beside Frankie's car, a yellow flower says CURLY FRIES. It looks like the fan that killed Frankie, and the color is the same as his car.
  • In the novel, Frankie was actually decapitated by the fan blade.
  • In the original script of Final Destination 3, Frankie was never going to die.
  • The Hice Pale Ale beer truck in Final Destination 2 was shown in the drive-thru.

Lewis Romero

  • In the opening scene, there's a picture of a sword swallower.
  • When Lewis plays the hammer game at the carnival, he hits the bell with so much force that it knocks the wooden figure's head off. This is the moment caught in his clue photo.
    • In Wendy's picture of Lewis, it looks like a weight is coming down on his head.
    • A cardboard sultan is also shown in the picture. Lewis's football team was named The Sultans.
    • The aforementioned sultan was wielding a pair of swords identical to the ones on display in the gym.
    • A giant toy bear is shown in Lewis's picture. A large, stuffed bear is on display in the gym, and the jersey on the bear has a red stain on it like blood.
      Untitledfghf

      Lewis Romero

  • The sign with the swords on them reads "What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger."
  • The swords clatters when another man pulls the weights on the machine under it.
  • In a deleted scene, Wendy notices that Lewis' school team logo appears in the background of the photo.
  • The song "Killing Time" is playing on an unbalanced radio someone turns on in the gym.
  • Lewis was seen in the opening of The Final Destination. This was Wendy's premonition, and it showed that he broke his spine.
  • At the Carnival, Lewis says "I JUST WIN!" when he scores at the hammer game. He says the same line seconds before the weights crush his head.
  • Lewis continuously repeats "That is 3, number 3, number 3..." during the hammer game. If one is to consider Ashley and Ashlyn's death scene as a single one, Lewis would have the third death scene in the movie.
Erin Ulmer

Erin Ulmer

Erin Ulmer

  • Clues in the opening
    • The camera zooms in on the "screw" in "corkscrew."
    • There is a woman with nails through her face.
  • The clue photo for Ian and Erin
    • The "S" of "SKILL" is darkened with a shadow, making it look more like "KILL."
    • It looks like Ian is about to shoot Erin in the head with a gun. Ian is the one that stocked the nailgun.
    • The way Erin held up her arm at her face when the nails permeate her head is the same pose as the photo.
    • Erin's nail is next to the gun. When you put the words together, you get nailgun.
  • Erin refers to the customers as pinhead customers, and she ends up with pins (nails) in her head.
  • Wendy sees several fans, reminiscing Frankie's death.
  • A soft gust of wind blows in the store.
  • The lights in the store flicker for a brief moment.
  • Wendy watches some wind blow the sand on the ground.
  • In a deleted scene, Erin doesn't die due to sand. A pigeon (one that Ian didn't kill in the real version) flies up in her face, and as she swats at it, she slips on sawdust on the floor. However, she is still shot with nails in the same fashion.
Frgf

Perry Malinowski

Perry Malinowski

  • In the picture Wendy took of Julie and Perry on the night of the accident, an American flag can be seen behind Perry in the background.
  • The flag that impales her reads LIBERTY OR DEATH.
  • Perry is the only character to die that doesn't speak at all in the film; the only sounds she makes are a scream when she falls from the rollercoaster and a moan when she slides down the flagpole.
Sasad

Ian McKinley

Ian McKinley

  • Ian and Erin's Clue Photo
    • There's a wooden banner shaped like the plywood, above Ian. The wooden banner looks like KILL instead of SKILL. However, this death was intervened.
    • The giant sign that crushed McKinley reads McKinley and is pointing down at him similar to the banners from Wendy's photo.
    • It looks like Ian is shooting Erin, and he is killed when Fireworks are shot at him.
  • Just before Ian is crushed, he looks upwards at the sign in the same fashion as he looks up at the plywood that was originally going to kill him.
  • In the alternate ending where Wendy smashes the camera, Ian is completely crushed by the cherry picker. This was actually the original ending of the film.
  • In a scene where Wendy is going to her car outside of school, Ian tells his girlfriend, Erin, that he hates how his last name is the town's name. It is shown that he has a yearbook, and above the school name, Ian just puts his first name.
  • When Ian is following Wendy to the tricentennial, Wendy's car radio turns on to play "Turn Around, Look At Me", prompting Wendy to look behind her and sees Ian following her, giving Wendy the idea that he will cause her death.

Laura

Laura and Sean

  • In a deleted scene, Wendy observes the train schedule and notices the last stop says END in bold, red letters.
  • A subway musician starts singing "Turn Around, Look At Me," which is a recurring song in the movie.
  • While looking in the mirror, Wendy notices the train's number. Backwards, it reads 180.
  • Wendy sees a sign advertising the restaurant where Frankie Cheeks died.
  • Wendy sees a sign advertising the store where Erin Ulmer died.
  • Wendy sees a sign advertising the store where Ashley and Ashlyn died.
    Sean

    Sean

  • Wendy sees a sign stating, There is no escaping DEATH and taxes.
  • The train conductor - Death - menacingly stated, "The next stop is the end of the line."
  • One of the men boarding the train is bald and sports a white and red tattoo, with the tattoo on the left side of his head - which makes him eerily look like Frankie Cheeks when he died.

Julie Christensen and Kevin Fischer

Julie-christensen-large

Julie Christensen

  • Kevin's clue photo was the one when Wendy flashed the camera in Kevin's face.
    • It's "all out of focus and overexposed, like a firework went off in his face." However, Wendy intervened with this death.
    • When he is against the train window, his facial expression is similar to the one in his photo. In addition, the photo's background is black, just like Wendy's.
  • In The Fireworks Area, when the stick hits the wire to the flammable tanks, and the fire goes up in Kevin's face, it is similar to when Clear River's face was burned by a fire explosion in Final Destination 2.
  • See Wendy's death clues for clues about Julie and Kevin's deaths in the subway.
    Dff

    Kevin Fischer

  • The train conductor - Death - menacingly stated, "The next stop is the end of the line." (also in Wendy's death clues)
  • In an alternate ending, the derailment happens and Kevin is filleted to death and all the survivors die, and then the credits roll.
  • There is strong controversy about Wendy, Kevin, and Julie's deaths. (also in Wendy's death clues)
    • There's a slight possibility that the train stopped after several attempts by Kevin, but this is highly doubtful. Not only that, but since it just so happens Kevin's on the same train Wendy and Julie are on, it would be a great opportunity for Death to finish up the list (although it seems like Death mostly arranged for that to happen , seeing Julie's car "just broke down"). Also, no one has managed to successfully cheat Death in any of the Final Destination films, so the fact that Kevin didn't die would be baffling.
    • A strange fact about Kevin, Wendy, and Julie's deaths is that it's unclear whether they survived or not. Usually if at the end of the movie it is unknown whether the survivors lived or not, their fates are revealed in the next movie. In the end of Final Destination, it is unknown whether Alex, Clear, and Carter survive, but their fates are revealed in the next movie. The same goes for the fate of Kimberly and Officer Burke in Final Destination 2. Their fates are revealed in Final Destination 3 in a newspaper article in Choose Their Fate. Yet, Wendy, Kevin, and Julie's deaths aren't mentioned in The Final Destination, so there is still the slight possibility that they have not died.
    • It should be noted that Wendy, Kevin and Julie live in the novel.
    • It's possible that Wendy, Kevin, and Julie will be mentioned in Final Destination 5.
    • There were rumors going on that she would appear in Final Destination 5, so there is a possibility she didn't die.

Wendy Christensen

  • Jason Wise, her boyfriend, said "I'll meet you at the end" before getting on the coaster and dying, presumably foreshadowing her death AT THE END of the movie.
  • In her photograph, Wendy is wearing a shirt with ‘McKinley’ on it. Wendy mistook as a sign that Ian will be the cause of her death. However, it would not make sense as the photographs are their destined deaths so if Ian died, he wouldn’t be there to kill her. The cherry picker had ‘McKinley’ on it which was her original cause of death. However, Ian unknowingly saved her by standing in the way of the cherry picker, hence skipping Wendy and going back to him. If Ian did not intervene, she would be crushed as per Death’s List. While some say that Wendy already saved herself by avoiding the fireworks, Death wouldn’t have skipped Wendy and rather, gave her a different death as saving yourself does not count.
  • Wendy's photograph has a few clues.
    • Jason's face is blurred. On the opposite train, the passengers speed past Wendy, and all of their faces are blurry.
    • The background is pitch black. The train that they're on is in a dark subway.
    • Excluding Julie, Wendy’s photograph is the only one that shows a clear well-lit shot of her face, much like the shot of her face when she was about to be run over by Train 081.
  • While Wendy is on Train 081, she has a brief vision of a photo of her and Jason, who was one of the casualties of Devil's Flight, foreshadowing that she would be soon reunited with him in afterlife. (This is interesting as Wendy said she did not believe in life after death)
  • In an alternate ending, Wendy observes the train schedule and notices the last stop says END in bold, red letters.
  • The voice of the mortician (Death) from the first two movies plays the conductor on the train.
    Gfgf

    Wendy Christensen

  • Wendy sees a sign stating, There is no escaping DEATH and taxes.
  • The train conductor - Death - menacingly stated, "The next stop is the end of the line."
  • In an alternate ending, Wendy is run over and splattered by a train, and then the credits roll.
  • One of the men boarding the train is bald with a white and red tattoo on the left side of his head - which makes him eerily look like Frankie Cheeks when he died.
  • There is strong controversy about Wendy, Kevin, and Julie's deaths. (also in Julie and Kevin's death clues)
    • There's a slight possibility that the train stopped after several attempts by Kevin, but this seems doubtful. No one has managed to successfully cheat Death in any of the other Final Destination films, so the fact that Wendy didn't die would be baffling. But another possibility is that since Wendy had a premonition of the collision, she could have had used her knowledge of what was going to happen to her advantage in order to save Julie and Kevin and herself from their gruesome fate. But of course, this is still unknown.
    • A strange fact about Kevin, Wendy, and Julie's deaths is that it's unclear whether they survived or not. Usually if at the end of the movie it is unknown whether the survivors lived or not, their fates are revealed in the next movie. In the end of Final Destination, it is unknown whether Alex, Clear, and Carter survive but their fates are revealed in the next movie. The same goes for the fate of Kimberly and Officer Burke in Final Destination 2.Their fates are revealed in Final Destination 3 in a newspaper article in Choose Their Fate but it is non-canon. Yet, Wendy, Kevin, and Julie's deaths aren't mentioned in The Final Destination so there is still the slight possibility that they have not died. Although in The Final Destination, since the introduction shows all the deaths in the Final Destination series, it could've proved that Wendy died getting ran over by a train.
    • It should be noted that Wendy, Kevin, and Julie all live in the novel.
    • It's possible that Wendy, Kevin, and Julie will be mentioned in Final Destination 5.
    • There were rumors going on that she would appear in Final Destination 5, so there is a possibility she didn't die.

The Final Destination

The Final Destination (2009)

Nadia Monroy

  • Nadia's death was identical to the way she died in the main character's vision.
  • Before she is killed, a sign can be seen behind Nadia. Due to being partially obscured, the sign reads "Hell's Candies".
    Ffd

    Nadia Monroy

  • Nadia, before her death, asks "Have you all lost your fucking minds?!" Her death was caused by a tire that completely destroyed her head, indicating that she lost her mind.

Carter Daniels

  • In the vision Nick has of the stadium being destroyed, Carter was killed when a burning car hood flew through the air and cut him and Cynthia in half at the waist.
  • At the memorial, Carter is wearing a necklace that has a hook-shaped pendant.
  • Nick has a vision of a death involving a red door (George's house), a horseshoe, a hook attached to a chain, and fire.
  • On his way to George's house, Carter listens to the song "Burning Bridges".
  • One song Carter listens to in his car says "Destructive forces out to get you."
  • The hat Carter wore during his attempted cross burning had a skull on it.
  • The name on the back of the tow truck and the paperwork inside it is "Destiny Towing".
  • The song "Why Can't We Be Friends?" begins playing right before Carter is hooked.
  • Carter shares his first name with Carter Horton, a high schooler who was meant to die by fire in the Flight 180 explosion.
    009TFD Justin Welborn 002

    Carter Daniels

  • Carter's death, being set on fire and dragged behind a truck, is an ironic reference to how some racist lynch mobs would execute their victims.
  • The next morning, after Carter's death, Lori is watching a cartoon of an animal who is on fire.
  • As Nick was having a vision of Carter's death, as the hook caught on fire and exploded, the words "IT'S HERE" can be seen emblazoned in red among the flames. The words can also be seen in some of the other visions that Nick had of the characters other than Carter.
  • Carter drinks a Hice Pale Ale beer, from Final Destination 2 & 3 and the one that starts his truck.

Samantha Lane

  • Ironically, her face had been disfigured in her death and Nick's vision.
  • In Nick's vision at the speedway, Samantha dies when she receives a car engine in the chest.
  • Nick sees a vague vision of someone dying from a stone.
  • Immediately before her death, Samantha tells her children, "I've got my eye on you two!"
  • The salon closes at 6:00PM, which in twenty four hour time is 18:00
  • The salon is named "Salon Dante."
    Cf

    Samantha Lane

  • The reflection in the hand mirror of the ceiling fan that prompted Nick's vision of Samantha's death had a small pile of stones next to it.
  • On the news article that Nick read about her death, on the right hand Related Stories column, a news topic read "Bus crash on HWY 180 kills 32"
  • Samantha said that her children aren't going to leave her sight until she ships then off to college. However, Death had something else in mind which involves blinding her right eye.
  • Dee Dee clips her scissors in front of Samantha's right eye, and Samantha flinches, foreshadowing her death.
  • An exacto knife falls onto Nick and Lori's picture. The knife aims at Lori's right eye, foreshadowing Samantha's death.

Andy Kewzer

  • In Nick's vision at the speedway, Andy died when he was tripped by a broken bleacher, causing him to fall and be impaled through the neck and out the mouth by another splintered bleacher.
  • Nick had a vision of a death involving spinning tires, a winch, and a flying tank.
  • Before nearly being hit by the van, Andy says "If I was meant to die, it would've happened by now."
  • Before the group arrives at the garage, there is a car that looks like Carter's car.
    540717-andy kewzer large

    Andy Kewser

  • In two deleted scenes, Andy's death is different in both Nick's premonition and his actual death.
    • At the speedway, Andy gets up tries to leave but a car explodes, killing him.
    • In the other deleted scene, he isn't diced when the CO2 tank comes to him. Instead, when the tank falls, it took a piece out of him making his spinal column visible.
  • The van that almost crushed Andy had "Brand X" written on it. Andy's torso resembled an X when it's diced.
  • Before his death, in the garage, you can see a sign saying "DANGER," and below it, you can see 2 CO2 tanks.

Hunt Wynorski

  • In Nick's vision of the stadium being destroyed, Hunt dies when he's crushed by the cement from falling stadium bleachers.
  • Nick has a vague vision of someone dying due to water and a coin, and he can't remember if Hunt or Janet died first. (They both died from the collapse.) All of this relates to both of their deaths: Both Janet and Hunter could have drowned (Janet in the car wash, Hunter in the pool), and they both dropped a coin, in addition to a coin from Janet causing her to go to the car wash (see Janet's death clues below). Janet dropped hers while trying to pay for the car wash, and it fell into some water, as Hunter dropped his lucky coin in the pool a few seconds later.
    Gg

    Hunt Wynorski

  • Hunt's lucky coin falling into the pool and Hunt going after it leads to his death.
    • One interpretation of this is that coincidentally, after Hunt loses his coin, his luck goes bad.
    • Another interpretation is that Hunt chasing after his lucky coin ironically caused his death, so if he had listened to Janet when she told him to stop it with the lucky coin, he wouldn't have died like that.
  • When at the pool, Hunt's tattoo is visible. It's a Cross.
  • After they survive the accident, Hunt said if they were really going to die, he would get laid before dying. Ironically, the last thing he did before dying was having sex.
  • Nick asked Hunt would it kill him to be sensitive.
  • While Nick was driving to Hunt, he sees a sign that says Clear Rivers.
  • The pressure gauge at full is actually supposed to be on "180."

Johnathan Grove

Jonathan Grove

  • In Nick's premonition at the speedway, Jonathan was killed when a burning car flew through the air and knocked him into a pillar.
  • While packing for a trip to Amsterdam, Nick accidentally knocks a book on the floor. The book opens to a page which has a picture of a hand sticking out of a body of water.
  • The aforementioned image causes Nick to a have a vision of a death involving a tub of water, faucets, a soaked ceiling and blood splattering on a wall.
  • The war veteran, Mr. Suby, who was going through physical therapy on the floor above Jonathan, has the same surname as the detective Kimberly Corman talked to about the pile up on Route 23 in Final Destination 2
  • Jonathan dies in the same fashion as Rinoka from the novel Final Destination: End of the Line.
  • Nick and the others assumed that Jonathan was dead since he didn't leave the stadium like the rest of them, but since he didn't move seats, he survived and was taken to a hospital.
  • Jonathan dies out of order; he was supposed to die before Hunt and Janet, but the design changed because he didn't move seats.

George Lanter (Security Officer)

  • In Nick's premonition of the stadium collapsing, George dies when he's incinerated by the explosion from Car 11.
  • Nick sees an image of a snake wrapped around a metal spike. This was the same symbol that was on the ambulance that ran George over.
  • George comically revealed to Nick and Lori that he tried to kill himself several times, but it didn't work, because it wasn't his time yet.
  • George talked to Nick about déjà vu and his dead wife immediately before he dies. Ironically, the film has some déjà vu references of its own: in addition to TheBrowning Dog, The Clear Rivers sign, and Carter's car, George is run over like Terry, giving a déjà vu reference to the first film.
  • George is named after George Waggner (Tod Wagger's brother from the original Final Destination).
  • George is a mixture from Eugene Dix and Nora Carpenter from the second Final Destination film. He tried to kill himself - like Eugene - and accepted the fact that if it's his time to die, then he's okay with it because his family is dead - like Nora.
Janetimpaled

Janet's second premonition Death being Impaled by a car wreckage.

Janet Cunningham

  • In Nick's vision, Janet dies when she's crushed by the cement from falling stadium bleachers along with Hunt.
  • The tow truck towing her vehicle is the same one Carter was driving.
  • Car Wash Death (intervened with)
    • Janet gives some coins to a homeless man on the street. One of the coins, however, is a penny, and the homeless man throws it out onto the street, scaring some pigeons. These pigeons poop on Janet's car, causing her to go to the car wash.
    • Before Janet goes to the car wash, the sunroof is acting up, and she can't close it. However, just before she enters the car wash, it closes, tricking her into thinking it's safe to go in.
    • Nick's premonition involved water and a coin. Janet drops a coin while trying to pay for the car wash.
    • In the car wash scene where Janet was supposed to die, she wore a pink shirt with the number 45 on the back of it, which is the same number of the car that started the crash at the racetrack.
  • Before entering the theaters, Janet and Lori notice the platform which crushed them in the alternate ending being lifted above the ceiling window of the mall. In amazement, Janet said "Somebody could get killed with that."
  • Final Death
    • The coffee shop that Janet and the others are in is called DEATH BY CAFFEINE. It is the same shop that the characters were in after the racetrack incident.
    • The sign on the table saying IT'S COMING is scratched out, and underneath it, it says "IT'S HERE."
    • Nick sees a woman reading about the movie LOVE LAYS DYING, which is the movie that Lori and Janet went to see.
    • Nick notices the TV is turned onto a speedway racing match.
    • Nick sees a photo of the pool where Hunt died.
  • Janet has eluded Death several times. She almost drowned in her car, nearly had her face ripped apart by a car wash cleaner, almost had her head crushed by a falling pipe, and was nearly impaled by debris from a theater explosion. This is the reason of George's death, because she confused Death while she is saved.
  • Janet died out of order; she was supposed to die around the same time Hunt did, but George and Lori intervened. Instead, she replaces George.
  • In the alternate ending, Nick finds Lori and Janet in the mall. He tells them it's not over, but he can fix it, and runs off with Lori and Janet chasing him, but they get caught in the crowd. He enters the theater construction site where the fire is, and grabs a propane tank. He decides to sacrifice himself and jump off the building from stories above, creating an explosion that sets off the mall alarm. Everyone in the mall has to evacuate and they are all saved from the disaster. Lori is then seen with Janet, crying and mourning, where Janet convinces her he's a hero for saving everyone. They think they have beaten death just like Clear Rivers and Alex Browning. However, just as Lori says "the chain is broken" a broken metal chain falls from the sky, where Lori picks it up out of curiosity. A moment later, they are crushed by a falling platform, leaving Lori's hand behind, holding the metal chain.
  • Janet has the same role as Julie Christensen from Final Destination 3. They are both the third main characters, and the third to last to die.
  • In the refrigerator on Death By Caffeine, there is a sticker of Hice Pale Ale, it is the brand of beer in Final Destination 2 & 3.

Lori Milligan

TodClue FD1

A clue indicating Tod Waggner's imminent death.

  • In Nick's vision of the stadium collapsing, Lori dies when she's incinerated by the explosion from Car 11.
  • Movie Theater Death
    • While shopping with Janet at the mall, Lori's foot is continuously bumped by a toy car. The car is a model ofCar 6 at the speedway. Moreover, the car tells Lori that her newly-bought shoes will get caught in the escalator.
    • Lori gets her shoelace stuck in an escalator on their way to the movie. This foreshadows how she will get caught in there by her legs after she runs out of the theatre with Nick.
    • Lori notices signs of Death that make her feel anxious.
      • Before entering the theaters, Janet and Lori notice the platform which crushed them in the alternate ending being lifted above the ceiling window of the mall. In amazement, Janet scoffs, saying "Somebody could get killed with that," but Lori actually feels threatened by it, like "yes, we could get killed with that."
      • In the movie theater, there are signs mirroring the racetrack incident, including someone yelling "Down in front, *sshole!"
    • In Nick's premonition for this incident, Nick goes into the movie theater to get Lori and Janet out, but Janet stays in the movie theater to get killed by the explosion. Then while escaping, Lori was supposed to have been grined into the belt of an escalator. However, knowing that he couldn't save them by informing them of the incident, Nick goes behind the movie theater to prevent the explosion itself, so it skipped her death (as well as Janet's).
  • Lori says that she and Nick will be traveling to Paris, which was where Alex and his friends were planning on going to until their Flight 180 plane exploded.
  • The coffee shop that Lori and the others are in is called DEATH BY CAFFEINE.
  • Nick sees a woman reading about the movie LOVE LAYS DYING.
  • Nick notices the TV is turned onto a speedway racing match.
  • Nick sees a scratched out sign on the table saying IT'S COMING.
  • Nick sees a photo of the pool where Hunt died.
  • An exacto knife falls on Lori's head in a photo, foreshadowing that she will die of a head injury.
However, just as Lori says "the chain is broken," a broken metal chain falls from the sky, where Lori picks it up out of curiosity. A moment later, they are crushed by a falling platform, leaving Lori's hand behind, holding the metal chain.
  • Clear Rivers is one of the characters from Final Destination and, is also the name of a certain location when they are looking for Hunt and Janet. Nick look out the window and sees a sign labeled "Clear Rivers Water" and had a vision which involve water.
  • In the refrigerator on Death By Caffeine, there is a sticker of Hice Pale Ale, it is the brand of beer in Final Destination 2 & 3.

Nick O'Bannon

TodClue FD1

A clue indicating Tod Waggner's imminent death.

  • Nick gets slammed into something in the vision and his (supposed death).
  • After Samantha dies, the driver of the lawnmower loses a tooth.
  • While car 6 was in pit stop, the number 666 is shown (a number 6 on the car and two number 6 flags which forms 666)
  • In his vision of the McKinley Speedway collapsing, Nick dies when he's impaled through the back by a blunt pole after being propelled by the explosion from Car 11.
  • After Hunt's death, Nick spills a cup of coffee on a newspaper in his house. The newspaper had an article in it mentioning three teenagers who were killed in a store when an out of control car crashed through the store's front window.
  • Before meeting the aforementioned construction worker, .
  • While walking to the coffee shop, a bus with the number "180" can be seen passing by.
  • Before entering the shop, Nick notices that a pole/pipe of a platform is loose and informs the painter/construction worker on the platform/scaffolding. The painter says something like "Oh yeah, you're right. I'll get someone on that," and Nick replies that it pays to be careful, gesturing with his arm that has a cast from preventing the movie theater explosion. However, no one fixes this pole in time, so the paint falls over later, causing the vehicle to veer.
  • The coffee shop that Nick and the others are in is called "Death By Caffeine".
  • A chalkboard on the wall of the cafe reveals the shop's beverages all have gimmicky names based on Death, such as "Iced Mocha Fatality" and "Knocking' on Death's Door Lattie"
  • Before sitting down, Nick bumps into a homeless man, the same one that Janet had given spare change to. The vagrant owned a dog named Browning, and he says something like "Hey, aren't you the kid that stopped that mall fire? You saved a lot of lives, man."
  • Nick sees a photo of the pool where Hunt died.
  • Nick sees a woman reading about the movie Love Lays Dying.
  • Nick notices the TV is turned onto a speedway racing match.
  • Nick sees a scratched out sign on the table saying "IT'S COMING", and beneath it says "IT'S HERE", a phrase which can also be seen in each and every one of Nick's premonitions briefly.
  • Lori says that she and Nick will be traveling to Paris, which was where Alex and his friends were planning on going to until their Flight 180 plane exploded.
  • In the alternate ending, Nick finds Lori and Janet in the mall. He tells them it's not over, but he can fix it, and runs off with Lori and Janet chasing him, but they get caught in the crowd. He enters the theater construction site where the fire is, and grabs a propane tank. He decides to sacrifice himself and jump off the building from stories above, creating an explosion when he landed on top of a police officer's car that read "180" and sets off the mall alarm.
  • The ending scene where Nick, Lori, and Janet are in Death By Caffeine is very similar to the ending scenes of Final Destination and Final Destination 3, although Alex seemed a little more paranoid than Wendy and Nick. Death manages to group the remaining survivors, and Nick (Alex outside in Paris; Wendy in the Train 081 scene) sees omens that death is still after them, and is paranoid, while Lori (Clear; Kevin) and Janet (Carter; Julie) are not worried and believe that they have truly defeated death. Immediately after, death strikes, and kills Janet first (Julie), then Lori (Kevin), and finally Nick (Wendy). However, it is unknown whether or not the three survivors in Final Destination 3 died, and the deaths in Final Destination are more spread out.
  • In the refrigerator on Death By Caffeine, there is a sticker of Hice Pale Ale, it is the brand of beer in Final Destination 2 & 3.

Candiceinthegym1

Candice Hooper

Candice Hooper

  • Despite doing gymnastics often, Candice is nervous because she has a bad feeling.
  • Candice feels a gust of wind blow past her.
  • Her good-luck rubber band that she twirls on her wrist snaps prior to beginning practice, hinting at the nature of her death.
  • During her conversation with Peter, Peter repeatedly mentions that the practice is the "last one" for Candice before going to the regionals.
  • Candice says her coach would kill her if she missed the practice.
  • The screen constantly pans to the screw of the high beam.
  • Candice almost had herself electrocuted by stepping on the puddle, but she was interrupted and went on to practice the high beams.
  • The song "Dust in the Wind" - the same song Sam heard in the bridge and this movie's warning song - contains some lyrics such as dust and wind. In Candice’s death, the chalk dust blows in the wind and killed her.

Isaac Palmer

  • When Isaac is looking through the deceased employee's drawers, he finds one full of thumb tacks which could allude to the acupuncture needles.
  • He pricks his finger like Sam did.
  • A gust of wind makes all the candles flicker.
  • in the bridge collapse premonition, his face is squished against the glass when the bus goes into the water, and in his actual death, a Buddha statue falls and crushes his head.
  • As Isaac talks on his phone, the receptionist at the spa points to a sign saying "Turn off cellphones".

Olivia Castle

  • The words in the picture frame are "The Scariest Rollercoaster"
  • The doctor asks her 'What made you decide to take the leap today'
  • Olivia lost her glasses in the premonition and died in real life without her glasses/getting surgery to fix her eyes.
  • The doctor tells her she will no longer be needing her glasses.
  • The necklace she wears is in an oval-shape with the center as an empty hole.
  • The view of the laser device up close strangely resembles an eye.
  • The teddy bear she is holding replicates parts of her death.
    • When she grips the teddy bear out of fear, its eye pops out similarly to how her undamaged eye pops out after her fall.
    • When she dropped the teddy bear onto the floor to pry open the clamp, it resembles how she fell out of the building
    • Olivia slipping on the teddy bear’s dislodged eye is similar to how a car runs over her eye after her fall.
  • When she is getting burned by the laser, the teddy bears are looking at her just like when how the bath toys watch Tod getting strangled.
    Tumblr lzul6q0JCD1r2o74ko1 400
  • Many signs of Olivia's death have to do with eyes, cars, and falling.
  • In the premonition, a car fell on her, and in real life, she fell on a car.
  • She fell five or six stories into water in the premonition.
  • When she made a picture fall off a table, her burnt eye was cracked in the photo.

Dennis Lapman

  • He says the factory workers are usually laid off. He died in the factory.
  • Before Peter leaves, he says to Dennis, "Anyone could be next! It could be you!" Dennis is the next to die.

Molly Harper

  • Molly tells Sam she wants the window seat.
  • In the premonition, Sam gets cut in two by a sheet of steel, while in reality, Molly is the one who gets cut in two.
  • An advertisement is shown for the Easternfield Lasik Center where Olivia had gone to, on the back of Molly's magazine
  • The words "fasten your seat belt" are flashing on the plane
  • A model plane is seen near Sam's cubicle when she, Sam, and Olivia discuss Candice's death.
  • The model plane and the cars in Sam's cubicle hint at the following disasters in the series that sets off the events of the first four films.
  • Sam and Molly's assigned seat number is at "Seat 23". It is the number in the seat configuration where survivor Clear Rivers sits.
  • Sam says to Molly "As long as we're together, that's all that matters." While talking about when his death will occur.
  • A photo of Sam and Molly hugging was seen in Molly's house.
    • In the photo, she was standing in front of Sam, and she died before Sam.
    • In the photo, Sam is holding Molly at the waist. When Molly is bisected, she is bisected at the waist.
  • The song Dust in the Wind is heard on the plane.
  • Sam sees a group of kids shouting and arguing as they leave the plane. A flight attendant states to another passenger that one of the kids had a "vision" that the plane was going to explode.
  • Sam cuts himself on Flight 180 just like he did on North Bay Bridge.
  • Her death is similar to when a girl, Lynn on a plane (casualty of Final Destination) died from being sucked out of the plane's window seat in the premonition.
  • During the whole movie, she is timid and doleful. Right before she dies, she is a little bit carefree, and bright-spirited. This may be a reference to Final Destination 2, as William Bludworth (Death) says that people are "most alive right before they die."
  • When Sam was in Molly's house, he looked at a picture of him and Molly, and a vase was reflecting in the frame. The reflection looked like the head of an airplane.
