Michael Simms is a mentioned character in the novel Final Destination: Looks Could Kill. He is the husband of Joan Simms. A wealthy and childless couple, Michael and Joan Simms wanted to have a child, so they traveled to the foster home Brut was staying at and adopted him. However, the couple quickly realized that Brut was disruptive and out of control, and never even bothered to tell either of them he loved them. Brut overheard the couple contemplating taking him back to the foster home, and after observing the other happy children, he threw his arms around his mother one day and told her he loved her and began to behave properly. Their thoughts of taking Brut back were gone soon afterwards.
